With 'Tong Zi Dan' Simian Mobile Disco returns to the gastronomic path

Simian Mobile Disco

In late 2010, the electronic music duo Simian Mobile Disco threw 'Delicacies', an original collection of songs inspired by strange culinary dishes that this duo tried on their tours around the world, and which included exquisite remixes of songs like 'Hakari' and 'Thousand Year Egg'. This week the English duo presented the preview of what will be the second menu of 'Delicacies' with the edition of the new single 'Tong Zi Dan', which is already available in 7 ″ vinyl format and which will be available in its digital version starting next October 21.

This single will also be accompanied by an official remix by Berlin-based DJ and producer Mike Dehnert, and will also contain two bonus tracks based on gastronomic dishes, entitled 'Escamoles' and 'Smalahove'.

'Tong Zi Dan' is the name of a Chinese dish that has as translation "Virgin child's eggs", and that according to the press release of the record company, is made with eggs boiled in the urine of young children. Musically 'Tong Zi Dan' sounds like an interesting techno-trance track with a hint of acid-jazz from the XNUMXs.
