Steve Vai releases his new album 'the story of light' in August

One of the best guitarists in rock music is back: it's about Steve Vai, who in August will release his next album 'The story of light', of which we hear the advance "Gravity Storm" here. It is the first work in seven years, after 'Real illusions: Reflections', from 2005.

The album will be mostly instrumental, although the guitarist anticipated that there will be vocals on two songs.
'The story of light' tells the journey of a man consumed by 'pain, intertwining tragedy, enlightenment, revelations and redemption'. Steven Siro Vai, was born on June 6, 1960 in Long Island, New York. He was a student of Joe Satriani during his teens and studied at the Berklee School of Music, before moving to Los Angeles, California, at age 19.

He won general recognition as the second guitarist for legendary musician Frank Zappa. Later,
in the early 80s he replaced Yngwie J. Malmsteen in the Alcatraz group and later Van Halen singer David Lee Roht to record the album 'Skyscraper'. In addition to his solo career, he went through Whitesnake in 1989.
