'Ready To Die' Is Iggy Pop & The Stooges' New Album

A few weeks ago the launch of 'Ready To Die', the new album by Iggy and the Stooges, the band's fifth since their last studio album 'The Weirdness', released in 2007, the record work that marked the reunion of the original Stooges line-up and the return of the group led by Iggy Pop and his former guitarist, James Williamson, after nearly thirty-four years.

At the beginning of March, with the presentation of the single 'Burn', a first preview of the sound of the new album, 'Ready To Die', was offered, which was anticipated to be a mix between rock n 'roll with a good dose of the raw energy that characterized his legendary work' Raw Power '(1973 ), one of the most influential records of the incipient punk movement of the early seventies in New York.

In just over half an hour that the new 'Ready To Die' lasts, it seems to surpass the previous work, and although it does not mark a generation as the mythical 'Raw Power' did, it seems to contain enough ingredients with which Stooges have known to create rock classics, since it still maintains the strength, sarcasm and powerful guitars that have characterized them since their inception. 'Ready To Die' will be released by the record label Fat Possum Records and will be available for sale as of April 30.
