This Thursday the local film «Open doors and windows«, A Swiss-Argentine co-production directed by Milagros Mumenthaler that premiered at festivals in 2011 with great success: this first feature by the director was already awarded the best film award at the Locarno International Film Festival (Switzerland) in 2011 and won the 'Astor de Oro' for Best Film at the XXVI Mar del Plata International Film Festival .
Also, at the Guadalajara International Film Festival (Mexico) in March 2012, he received the award for the best Ibero-American film. The story, which takes place in a hot summer, shows three teenage sisters left alone in the family home after the death of their grandmother, who had raised them. Each expresses its mourning in a different way in a climate of indolence and apathy.
The director shows us, as if they were larvae that finally break their cocoon to fly like adult butterflies, the passage of the protagonists to adulthood. The cast is made up of María Canale, Martina Juncadella, Ailín Salas and Julián Tello.
