Lou Reed and Metallica: The Video for "The View"

Lou Reed y Metallica They release video: it is about «The View«, The first single from their joint album 'Lulu', edited a few weeks ago. The video was shot by director Darren Aronofsky in San Francisco.

The work was co-produced by Reed, Metallica, Hal Willner, and Greg Fidelman. As we tell, it is an album inspired by the expressionist writer Frank Wedekind, a German playwright, and particularly in his works Erdgeist (The Spirit of the Earth; 1895) and Die Büchse der Pandora (Pandora's Box; 1904).

The story tells what happens to a young dancer who has suffered sexual abuse, her romantic relationships and the vicissitudes of a life in which she knows success and also the most absolute wealth and poverty.

'Lulu'was shredded by the critic and not endorsed by fans: it only sold 1.400 copies in the US during its first week of release, accumulating 20 copies since then, a figure that marks a resounding failure.
