Cinema situation in Spain

Enrique Gonzalez

We all know that the film industry is not having a good time, with the prices of cinema, with the many options for legally watch movies from home or also piracy, have contributed to the current situation.

Although it seems that the cinema has taken a break after seeing the latest data published this week from the Institute of Cinematography and Audiovisual Arts of the Ministry of Culture, which raise to 19,5% the screen quota of cinema in our country.

With this figure, if compared with that of 2005 (with 15,6%), there is a notable increase, blamed by many for the film The Impossible, but they believe that the situation of the world of cinema in our country is falling.

Enrique González Macho, president of the Film Academy and owner of the Alta Films production company, a project that started in 1976 and which allowed many independent films to reach our country, assures that he is watching him die little by little. How do you see the cinema situation in our country?
