The organization San Sebastian Festival has announced the Spanish films that will participate in the new edition.
Alex de la Iglesia, Fernando Franco y David trueba will present their Spanish productions, while Manuel Martin Cuenca y Denis Villeneuve. They will represent Spanish cinema with their co-productions.
Álex de la Iglesia will present his new work «The Zugarramurdi witches«, A film in which we will be able to Carmen Maura, which will be awarded in this edition of the San Sebastian Festival with the Donosti Award for its enormous trajectory.
Fernando Franco arrives at the festival with his debut film «The wound«, While David Trueba will present his latest work«Living is easy ».
On the other hand, Manuel Martín Cuenca arrives at the contest with «Cannibal«, A co-production between Spain, Romania, Russia and France and the Canadian director Denis Villeneuve, comes with a co-production between Spain and his native country,«ENEMY«.
But not all of the San Sebastián Festival is the official section, so in the new directors section we find more Spanish cinema, «Lightning" by Fran Araujo and Ernesto de Nova and the co-productions «The magic Tree" by Isabel Ayguavives and «The Dead Hours » by Aaron Fernández.
Three more co-productions arrive at the Horizontes Latinos section - «The golden cage" by Diego Quemada, «I thought there was going to be a party » by Victoria Galardi and «Wakolda » scored by Lucía Puenzo when we have the information.
In the Pearls section we find «Gloria»By Sebastián Lelio, a co-production between Spain and Chile, which won the Film in Progress Award at the 2012 edition of this festival and won the Silver Bear for best actress at this latest Berlinale.
