Javier Cámara and Candela Peña star in 'Yesterday never ends', the new by Isabel Coixet.
Javier Cámara, of which we talked in the previous post because he has just finished filming in 'The Passenger Lovers' by Pedro Almodóvar, he is now starting the filming of the new film by director Isabel Coixet, entitled 'Yesterday never ends'.
The Catalan director has successful titles in her filmography such as the award-winning 'The Secret Life of Words' (Goya for best original script and best direction in 2005), the documentaries 'Invisible' and 'Listening to Judge Garzón' (which were awarded Goyas for best documentary film in 2007). and 2012 respectively), or 'Things I never told you', among others. Thus, Punset is now embarking on the filming of his new film, 'Yesterday never ends', in which he provides the direction and the script, and whose filming begins on September 18 with the leading couple composed of Javier Cámara and Candela Peña. Filming will end at the end of October and will take place in Igualada and the surroundings of Barcelona.
Coixet has kept an absolute silence about the plot of the film, on which it has only transpired that the action takes place in the near future, specifically in 2017. In this sense, Coixet has declared: “Lately, the viewer comes to the movies, knowing too much about them. Sometimes, watching the trailer you already get an idea of the film…. And the more you know about it, the less you want to see it. There is an unhealthy saturation of information. I know it will be almost impossible, but I would like viewers to come to "Yesterday Never Ends" knowing very little of the story. The only thing I can say is that for me, it is a kind of return to the world of "My life without me" mixed with now and here aspects of the situation we are experiencing as a country. For my part, all I know is that this film would not be possible without the absolute dedication of Javier and Candela. I feel lucky to have you with me on this adventure. Every minute we've rehearsed has been precious. And I know that on the screen they are going to surprise, excite and hit the viewer. "
