Oliver Stone premieres this weekend in Spain his film 'Salvaje'.

As we advance you a few months agoOliver Stone leaves aside criticism of the world of economics and politics, to return to the genre of pure action, and it seems that the result has not gone bad if we take into account the ovations received in the San Sebastian Festival.

For 131 minutes, Stone leaves the interpretation in the hands of Taylor Kitsch, Benicio del Toro, Blake Lively, Aaron Johnson, Salma Hayek, John Travolta and Emile Hirsch, among others, with a magnificent screenplay by Shane Salerno and Don Winslow, who have based it on Don Winslow's novel of the same name.

The plot of the film introduces us to two young entrepreneurs from Laguna Beach, Ben (Aaron Johnson), a peaceful and charitable Buddhist, and his best friend Chon (Taylor Kitsch), a former US Navy Special Forces member and former mercenary, have set up a lucrative home business: growing and selling one of the best marias ever made.

They also share a unique love with the extraordinary and beautiful O. (Blake Lively). The two lead an idyllic life in this small town in southern California ... until a Mexican cartel in Baja California sets up and demands that the trio partner with them. But The ruthless cartel boss (Salma Hayek) and her brutal thug Lado (Benicio Del Toro) don't take into account the strength of the bond that binds the three friends.

Ben and Chon, with the help he reluctantly provides a corrupt and elusive DEA agent (John Travolta), they decide to wage an impossible war against the cartel. Thus begins a series of increasingly savage maneuvers and stratagems in a confrontation where both sides play a lot.

As you can guess after knowing the synopsis, we are before an entertaining movie with Stone in its purest form, taking up a classic line that he had left a while ago and that he now takes up, although perhaps with less strength and dedication than before.
