Metallica returns to Grammys after two decades

Twenty-three years later, the heavy metal group Metallica will appear again at the awards ceremony of the Grammy Awards. On this occasion, the American band will perform together with the Chinese pianist Lang Lang, once again making a foray into the world of classical music after recording the album 'S&M' in 1999 with the San Francisco orchestra.

It was in late February 1992 that Metallica performed for the last time at a Grammy Awards ceremony, this time featuring the theme. 'Enter Sandman', an exciting presentation that made New York's Radio City Music Hall vibrate. So far Metallica has been one of the heavy metal groups that has won the most Grammy awards, a total of nine awards, six in the category of 'Best Metal Performance' in the years 1990, 1991, 1992, 1999, 2004 , and 2009.

A few days ago, together with the New Year's greeting, the members of Metallica announced from their official website the news about the invitation to appear at the 56th edition of the Grammy Awards, to be held next Sunday, January 26, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles (USA).
