P Diddy, the richest rapper
The economics magazine Forbes has published the list of the five rappers richest in the world. The funny thing is that they all own other businesses besides music. The first to appear on the list is P.Diddy (pictured), with a $ 550 million bank account thanks to: his Bad Boy label, his percentages in the Chiroc vodka brand, Sean John and Enyce clothing lines, Blue Flame marketing firm and on his cable television channel Revolt, which will premiere in 2013.
Then second appears Jay Z, with 460 million dollars. The rapper in 2007 sold his clothing firm Rocawear for 204 million and in 2008 he signed a 10-year contract with Live Nation for 150 million dollars. Beyoncé's husband also owns part of the New Jersey Nets, a percentage of the profits from the 40/40 club franchise and the Carol's Daughter cosmetics company, among other businesses.
In third position is Dr.Dre, with 270 million dollars in his pockets, who owns the Beats headphone brand. In number four appears Bryan 'Birdman' Williams, co-founder of the Cash Money label with a fortune of 125 million. While the fifth place is 50 Cent, with 110 million dollars, who sells video games, energy drinks and clothing in advertisements.
