This is the first preview of the new film by the award-winning Argentine actor Ricardo Darin, who are "White elephant", directed by Paul Trapper (Carancho, Leonera) and which also features performances by Jérémie Renier and Martina Gusman. The White elephant the title refers to a building located in Villa 15 of the Villa Lugano neighborhood in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires; It is a semi-abandoned structure whose destiny was to be the largest hospital in Latin America.
In the story, two cures Third-worldists, Julián (Ricardo Darín) and Nicolás (Jérémie Renier), work together with Luciana (Martina Gusman), a social worker, in a town in Buenos Aires. There, as a team, they try to solve the social problems of the neighborhood and the difficulties that arise every day. Their work will confront them with the ecclesiastical hierarchy and with the governmental and police powers.
It is the seventh film by Trapero and is a production of Matanza Cine, Patagonik and Morena Films (Spain), in association with Full House (France). It will be distributed in Latin America by Buena Vista Internacional and its premiere in Argentina is scheduled for May.
