Will we see Captain Thunder at once?

PIt seems that after spinning more than a spinning top, the filming of Captain Thunder can get underway by mid-2008, that is, next year.

Rumors about the adaptation of Victor Mora's classic comic already seem like something of a Hispanic urban legend. For a long time it was said that the director Juanma Bajo Ulloa was going to be in charge of transferring to the big screen the adventures of the scourge of heretics and his companions Crispín and Goliath. Filmax tried twice to start shooting the film, with news that it was going to be the largest Spanish blockbuster, with international actors and all the fanfare worthy of a Yankee blockbuster. And then Alatriste came along in 2006.

Until yesterday absolute silence as if I had fallen into absolute oblivion. And then, it seems that a Valencian company called Maltés Producciones bought the rights at the end of 2006 and now, at a festival in the tradition of Cannes, they present us with the teaser trailer of the Thunder Captain (Captain Thunder go), whose filming will begin next year in La Ciudad de la Luz in Alicante, which is intended to be released in the summer of 2009, which in principle (until I see it I do not believe it) will direct Pau Vergara (Beyond the Wire: The memory of horror) with a budget of 15 million euros, supported by an international cast and keep an eye on the data, in English (hence Thunder Captain).

The good news for comic book lovers is that Victor Mora will be in charge of reviewing the script, so I guess he won't let too many excesses be committed with his creature, well, that's what Alan Moore would think with V for Vendetta so I better shut up .
