The headquarters of Unicef in Germany delivered this week the Honor Award for Children's Rights, to the Colombian singer, for her work as an ambassador for the organization since 2003.
Shakira has shown throughout her career a predisposition to help the little ones. More than 10 years ago, he founded Pies Descalzos in his country, an organization that assists dozens of children who are at risk, supplying food and trying to give them the education they deserve.
In turn, it could also be seen in the shows that ALAS Foundation organizes year after year, in which he shares the initiative with several Latin American colleagues.
On the other hand, while waiting for the departure of She Wolf, next November 17, Shakira is in Colombia, working on what will be her new album, with a view to being released in 2010.
