Irish band U2 premieres for the first time in its history on the big screen, with something that can be spectacular if possible, for both fans and other mortals. "U2-3D", which was shot during the tour that the band made in 2006 by South America, with Buenos Aires (Argentina) and Santiago de Chile as locations. The film will be released in cinemas and also in IMAX around the world, so we will be obliged to wear special 3D glasses. This film is not related to the DVD of the Vertigo Tour 2005 filmed in Chicago.
The shots were taken with HD digital cameras and the sound is Dolby Digital 5.1
The film has been produced by National Geographic Entertainment and directed by Catherine Owens and Mark Pellington.
