Trapped by his past, for good movies the years don't go by

caught by past

If a few weeks ago I told you how bad the years had been for the film Open till dawn Robert Rodríguez, now I must say that good films do not pass the years as for Trapped by his past, directed by Brian de Palma in 1993.

The main protagonist of the film is Carlito Brigante, played by Al Pacino, to whom the gangster characters come like a glove (The Godfather, The Price of Power), who gets out of jail with the aim of raising $ 75.000 and abandoning his criminal life by going to the Bahamas to invest in a car rental business. But, before reaching this figure, his past will play very bad tricks on him. From the beginning, Carlito will realize that he cannot change, and the first to get him in trouble will be his own nephew.

Then his lawyer, the one who saved him from spending 30 years in the shadows, the one he considers his only friend, will also fail him.

In addition, in the midst of so much action there will also be time for you to regain your love from the past.

Trapped by his past, directed by the teacher Brian de Palma, begins at the end so, from the beginning, we know what the final destination of the protagonist will be but the tension that the director achieves, especially with the final scene of the chase on the train , it is really spectacular. And, brilliant outcome, it is clear that in the mafia and in crime there are no friends.

Finally, note that the role of the lawyer is played by Sean Penn who, as almost always, does an excellent job.

In short, if you have not seen it yet, I recommend doing it and, if you have seen it too, because it will not disappoint you.
