This weekend the American drama premieres Brothersdirected by Jim Sheridan who, several months before the Oscars, sounded like one of the favorite films for best picture and best performances but, as the months went by, the positive reviews deflated.
La film «Brothers» is an eemake of the Danish film of the same name that was released in 2004, directed by Susanne Bier, and focused on a young man (now Maguire) who is sent to fight in Afghanistan while his brother (Gyllenhaal) stays in the United States. United taking care of his wife and son. When his brother is presumed missing and dead, he decides to take care of his family (wife and children) but, unintentionally, both will fall in love and, as a culmination, his brother will return alive from the war asking for explanations.
