The big problem with Spanish cinema is that its production companies and distributors don't spend money on advertising their films.
The last example we have with the Spanish film that opens this Friday, in co-production with Germany, entitled «Black flowers», Well, after seeing the trailer, it seems like a very correct film that nobody will go to see, simply because nobody knows it exists.
Black flowers tells the story of Michael Roddick, a spy in the service of the FRG, aware that the more than probable fall of the Soviet regime will relegate a whole generation of secret agents to ostracism, he leaves the service after the failure of his last mission, and disappears taking with him Elena, the daughter of a Russian spy who died under strange circumstances. Michael and Elena settle in Barcelona, where they open a small restaurant that will allow them to forget their troubled past. But his old colleagues reappear demanding unfinished business and Roddick is once again immersed in a dizzying nightmare.
