This film is a co-production between Belgium and France that has been directed by Philippe Van Leeuw.
During the first days of the genocide, Westerners flee the country. Before being evacuated, a Belgian family finds a hiding place for Jacqueline, their young nanny, in the attic. Despite the horror that is taking place outside, Jacqueline leaves her hiding place to find her way back to her village and her children until she finds their lifeless bodies among the corpses. Expelled from her home and village, hunted like an animal, she seeks refuge in the forest.
