The French drama on immigration will also premiere next weekend "Welcome", starring Vincent Lindon and directed by Philippe Lioret.
This film was already released last year in France so it is a bit late for us. In addition, it will be released in a small number of theaters and, surely, in many of them in the original version.
The story that "Welcome" offers us focuses on Bilal, a 17-year-old young man from Iranian Kurdistan, who has crossed the Middle East and Europe to meet his recently emigrated girlfriend to England. But his journey stops abruptly when, on the French side, he is prevented from crossing the English Channel. He decides to swim across the channel. To fulfill his objective, he begins to train in the municipal swimming pool. There she meets Simon, a swimming teacher in the middle of the divorce process. Simon is willing to do whatever it takes to get his wife back and risks everything by offering protection to Bilal.
