James Franco may receive more than one award for his performance in the biopic of the American poet Allen Ginsberg, entitled Howl.
The film is titled that way because it is the title of his main work, Howl ("Howl"), well known for its opening phrase:
"I have seen the best minds of my generation destroyed by madness."
The cast also includes Mary-Louise Parker, Jon Hamm, Jeff Daniels, Alessandro Nivola and David Strathairn. In the direction is the tandem Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman.
It is clear that it will not be a blockbuster film but it will have its followers, especially those who are connoisseurs of this poet and lovers of poetry.
