I just came across the trailer for the movie district 9 on a movie blog and I was dumbfounded.
The idea is really original: some aliens arrive on earth and are treated as war refugees isolated from the rest of the world and guarded by the army in a remote area of South Africa known as Distrito 9. After 28 years of peace and silence, a journalist discovers that they are about to launch an offensive against humans.
This film has been produced by Peter Jackson and directed by Neill Blomkamp who has adapted his own well-known short film entitled Alive in Joburg.
The war between aliens and humans as we had never imagined.
The release date in the USA is next August 14 and it can be quite a hit. The trailer has left me wanting to know more about this movie.
