Brothers at war is an intimate portrait of an American family during turbulent times. Jake Rademacher, the film's director, records (and tries to understand) the experience, sacrifice, and motivation of his two brothers serving in America's war in Iraq.
The film follows the odyssey of Jake who, camera in hand, risks everything, including his life, to tell the story of your beloved brothers, Captain Isaac Rademacher and Sergeant Joseph Rademacher.
Often funny, other really devastating Brothers at war is presented as a remarkable trip where Jake share the days with 4 infantry units in Iraq. With unprecedented access to the military life of soldiers in Iraq, Rademacher gets fully involved in the reconnaissance operations of the Yankee troops on the border Syria, entering the places where the snipers are hiding, in the area of the Sunni Triangle, where soldiers fight the Iraqi army.
In the last part, the camera documents the return of his brothers to their homes, reuniting with their parents, partners, wives and children.
