The director Ridley Scott has made a statement about his new project, after filming "Robin Hood", it will be the prequel to the classic «Aliens» which, of course, will also be shot in 3D:
“It will be set in the year 2085, some 30 years before the character of Ellen Ripley (Sigourney Weaver). It is essential to try to find out what the hell that Space Jockey was doing in the spaceship, and also the guy who was sitting in the seat of the alien ship. It looked like a piece of technology or an astronomer's chair. Our man (Tom Skerritt as Captain Dallas) comes up and says, "There was an explosion inside." What happened?. We will basically explain the Space Jockey. The film will deal with the formation of planets and their transformation, along with the possibility of future life.
All forecasts point to "Alien, the prequel" It will hit theaters around the world at the end of 2011.
