There will be a sequel to Avatar if it works well at the box office

This weekend the long-awaited return to the director's direction opens worldwide James Cameron with his movie Avatar, about which we already know everything: plot, visual effects, budget, characters, actors, etc.

But, be careful, surprise, because if the film becomes a box office success, there will be a sequel in sight and very soon.

If you don't believe me, read James Cameron's statements about the sequel by Avatar:

“When I presented the project to 20th Century Fox, about four and a half years ago, I told them, 'We are going to spend a lot of money, time and energy creating all this, every rock, every tree, the facial expressions of each character'. A bestiality, millions and millions of dollars. So it really makes sense to think that it may be the beginning of a franchise, or a saga, that each movie is a chapter in a saga. I have the idea, but I haven't written the scripts yet. Everything will depend on how the first film works ”.

As I have said before, the dollar rules, and as the film raises more than 600 million dollars worldwide, we will find ourselves before a new cinematographic saga.
