There will be a new version of Rebecca de Hitchcock

Real moviegoers must be pulling their hair out after hearing the news that they are going, or at least are planning, to make a remake of one of the great film director's films Alfred Hitchcock. I say this because one of the last remakes of a film by the British director, "The Birds", was not exactly well received by critics.

DreamWorks is said to be planning to bring Daphne du Maruier's 1938 novel Rebecca back to the big screen, rumors suggesting that everything is as real as what you just read.

Rebecca was once a true revolution of Hitchcock, starring Lawrence Olivier and Joan Fontaine. At the moment it is not known who will direct the remake or what are the options to get the leading roles.

In the original Rebecca we knew how Maximilian de Winter, a well-known English aristocrat, lost his wife, Rebecca de Winter, who was found on the coast. To overcome the hard blow he goes to Monte Carlo and there he meets a young domestic worker played by Joan Fontaine. What will the new version be like?
