Director Darren Aronofsky with his new movie The Wrestler, has re-launched the career of the hit actor of the 80s, Mickey Rourke (9 and a half weeks), who is also nominated for the Oscars for best actor for this role as a former WRF fighter who returns to fight for himself and his daughter, a theme very similar to his real life.
But, we must not forget, that thanks to this film, Marisa Tomei, is once again among the most popular actresses for her performance as a stripper in this film and, also, is nominated for the Oscars.
The Wrestler won the award for best film at the last Venice Film Festival, the Golden Globe for best dramatic actor for Mickey Rourke and this is also the favorite to win the Oscar for best actor.
