When it comes to remaking, horror movies are the preferred candidate to carry out projects of this type. Few remakes can look down on the original film, and unfortunately, most are nothing more than "classic smashers."
Universal Pictures is projecting a remake of the horror classic "The Wolfman", which will carry the same title on its poster. Back in 1941, it had Lon Chaney Jr. as its main character.
The new face of the new werewolf will be nothing more and nothing less than that of the unstoppable Benicio, the bull, which already has several pending projects.
The film, which will be directed by Mark Romanek (Portraits Of An Obsession) who has already cast his eye on Anthony Hopkins to join the project, is scheduled to premiere in the United States for November 2008.
The word "remake" makes many moviegoers frown at first and put on a disinterested face, but if we think about having Benicio del Toro and Anthony Hopkins together on the same stage, things change slightly. It is clear that choosing a good cast and a well-known title is a good resource to attract viewers, sell many tickets and get money without getting too squeezed in search of innovative and surprising arguments, but the question is ... Is this remake another "classic destroyer" or will we be pleasantly surprised?
