The French classic by Alexandre Dumas will once again be made into a movie. This time the director who commands the project is nothing more and nothing less than Paul Anderson, the director of Alien vs. Predator and Resident Evil, which seems to have finally found a little place in the Hollywood market.
Anderson, who already has a script ready, co-written in collaboration with Andrew Davies, intends to shoot the film in 3D., thus avoiding falling into the traditional period film: "We're modernizing The Three Musketeers, without compromising too much on the fun of making a vintage tape" clarified the young filmmaker.
In the director's words, the story will be centered not on "Corsets and feather hats, but in action, romance and adventure" typical of chivalric novels.
El filming would take place in the middle of next year, in France and Germany, with the intention of release it in 2011.
