On June 22, a romantic drama will be released, “Ladrones” a feature film directed and written by Jaime Marqués.
The story deals with the difficult relationship between Álex (Juan José Ballesta) and Sara (María Valverde) belonging to opposite worlds.
The protagonist, Álex, is a lifelong 'thief', since he has only learned that in life. His mother was the one who taught him the job before being arrested just when the boy was seven years old. Instead, Sara is a girl who only thinks about her exams and buying clothes. Their lives intersect, but they must pass tough obstacles such as the opposite worlds to which they belong, the social barriers that separate them and Álex's dangerous work.
The Goya winner, Juan José Ballesta, for 'El Bola' is already characterized by playing tough roles, as in this case that of a petty thief, or like that of 'Planta 4'. María Valverde is not far behind either, because she also has in her hands a Goya, as the best revelation actress for 'La flaqueza del bolquevique' in 2003. And finally, the director of the film also has a Goya that he won in 2000 for his short 'Paradise Lost' and the 1999 Uppsala International Short Film Festival Grand Prize for the same work.
