The Stone Roses have new songs

After having starred in a resounding return, The Stone Roses they might already have new material that, who knows, they might share in their concerts in our country. "At least they have three or four new songs recorded," said Chris Coghill according to NME magazine.

Coghill has written the script for a movie which tells the story of a Manchester band, which will surely be called "Spike Island", and which focuses on the historic concert that The Stone Roses gave in 1990 on Spike Island, before 30.000 people.

The screenwriter and actor has ensured that both Mani and Ian Brown They have been willing to collaborate in whatever way they can with the project. And he has confessed that for him this film is like a "love song towards the group", because of that of having been 16 years old in 1990 and being from Manchester. So "the protagonists of the story have something of me, to a certain extent."

In the trailer that some lucky British journalists have been able to see, some songs from The Stone Roses appear and the film is expected to be finished in November; we will see with or without new songs from Ian Brown and co. Do not forget that before you can see them live in the FIB of Benicàssim and in Razzmatazz in Barcelona.
