The production companies that seem to be negotiating in principle to jointly produce this film are Columbia Pictures and Sony Pictures Animation.
The Smurfs are the original creation of Pierre Culliford and were created in 1958, of which years later Hanna-Barbera the famous studios of productions such as The Flintstones decided to make them series and produced a total of 256 episodes.
