Under the cover of successes of digital animation mixed with real image such as "Scooby Doo" and "Alvin and the chipmunks", the film adaptation of the popular animated series arrives in Spain "The Smurfs", characters created by Pierre Culliford, alias Peyo, a Belgian cartoonist who created them in 1958 for the Le Journal de Spirou seminar.
"The Smurfs", if they see endorsed by the public, will become a trilogy.
As a real character, Neil Patrick Harris stands out, best known for being one of the protagonists of the well-known American series "How I Met Your Mother."
The main characters in "The Smurfs" will end up in the world of humans, specifically in New York, when they were fleeing from Gargamel, falling into a temporary hole from which, unfortunately, the valley of the blue Lilliputians will also emerge.
"The Smurfs" will also be released in 3D. A format less and less followed by Spanish viewers.
