"La sombre del Iceberg", a Spanish documentary about the mythical photograph "The dead militiaman"

This Friday a Spanish documentary entitled The shadow of the IcebergDirected by Hugo Doménech and Raúl M. Riebenbauer, who carry out a study of the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939), where the mythical photojournalist Robert Capa —anonymous at that time— took the snapshot The dead militiaman, one of the icons of the XNUMXth century and a symbol of tragedy in any war. According to the official version, this photograph captured for the first time in history the precise moment of death in battle.

The shadow of the iceberg is a feature-length investigative documentary that questions, through several reasonable and reasoned doubts, the veracity of this version and raises the possibility that this image was the result of a brilliant staging.
