Korn, one of the most prominent international bands of nu metal and alternative metal, released last Friday (21) their new album: 'The Serenity of Suffering'.

This is the 12th studio album in their discography and represents the return to Roadunner Records, a label with which the group previously released 'Korn III: Remember Who You Are' (2010) and 'The Path of Totality' (2011). .

'The Serenity of Suffering' has been produced by Nick Raskulinecz (Foo Fighters, Deftones, Mastodon) and has had the collaboration of Corey Taylor, leader of the group Slipknot and Stone Sour. For the promotion of this album, four singles were released in advance: 'Rotting in vain', 'Insane', 'A different world' (with Corey Taylor) and finally 'Take me'. In mid-July 'Rotting in Vain' was presented for the first time, at the Chicago Open Air Festival, and days later the music video for the album was released with Tommy Flanagan as an actor.

According to the press release of the label, 'The Serenity of Suffering' makes a clear synthesis of Korn's trajectory, with a clear projection towards the future of his compositions, given that the Californian group has managed to find new ways of creating music and to reinvent his particular metal sound.

Since last year the members of the group have been anticipating the steps of this new production. Some months ago James "Munky" Shaffer defined the sound of 'The Serenity of Suffering' as considerably heavier than it has been heard in a long time., highlighting that it would be an intense album with a strong vocal presence.

At the beginning of October, Korn announced two concerts in Spain next March., event in which they will present their new album live. The Barclaycard Center in Madrid (former Palacio de los Deportes) will offer the concert on March 17 and, just one day later, the Sant Jordi Club in Barcelona will be the place chosen for the concert by the band led by Jonathan Davis. Tickets are being sold by the official Live Nation network, at prices ranging from 49 euros plus expenses to 224 euros plus expenses for the premium option "meet and greet" with group members.
