Ang Lee has directed 'Life of Pi', another of the accurate proposals that our billboard presents us for this end of the year. In it we find a cast headed by Suraj Sharma, Irrfan Khan, Tabu, Rafe Spall and Gérard Depardieu, among others.
'Life of Pi' has a script by David Magee, based on the homonymous novel by Yann Martel, and in its development we will meet Pi Patel, a boy whose father is the owner of the zoo in the city of India where they live. His family decides to go to Canada, but a storm causes the ship in which they are traveling to wreck. Pi manages to save himself thanks to a barge in which there is also another "passenger", a Bengal tiger that the young man will try to tame in order to survive.
'La vida de Pi' is one of those films that leaves you with a delicious taste in your mouth, because it intoxicates you from minute zero, and also, in this case, 3D technology is at the service of history, and not the other way around, as often happens, producing a battery of images so deep and sharp that they amaze the viewer from beginning to end.
In 'La vida de Pi' we are also reminded of the insignificant lightness of being, or what is the same, how little we mean in a Universe in which we are nothing more than a grain of sand, but without which, the whole would not be the same. And it is precisely that, the set, which is put in value in this bet by Lee.
