The Franco-Belgian film by Pierre Jolivet 'The Night Watchman' has been the great winner of the new edition of the Shanghai Festival by winning the Gold Cup, the award for the best film.
The jury prize goes to the Polish film 'Carte Blanche' by Jacek LusinskiWhile Cao Baoping wins best director award for 'the Dead End', a film that also won the award for best actor for its three leads Deng Chao, Duan Yihong and Gua Tao.
Krista Kosonen wins the award for best actress for the Finnish-Lithuanian co-production 'The Midwife' and the American film 'Cake' wins the best screenplay award.
