Is a remake of the film starring Clint Eastwood in 1971, and directed by Don Siegel "The Seducer." In its original plot, the film tells the story of a Yankee soldier who seeks refuge in a girls' boarding school during the Civil War. While recovering from his wounds, the soldier falls in love with the most beautiful women he meets on his way, taking advantage of the fact that they are very repressed by the time and by the place they inhabit.
The movie is based on a novel by Thomas Cullinan, and although the film from the early 70s was not a very popular success, it seems to be the perfect project for the director Coppola: a boarding school for girls where she can delve into a favorite topic for her: the time of female adolescence, her feelings , perceptions, adventures and misadventures.
The filmmaker has surrounded herself with a cast of luxury actresses. Along with his favorite actress, Kirsten Dunst will be Elle Fanning (who already worked with Sofia in the movie "Somewhere: In a corner of the heart" and the veteran actress Nicole Kidman. Fanning will interpret a student from the boarding school, Dunst to a teacher from the same school, and Kidman to the principal of the school.
As regards the male character it is not yet known who could play the role. And we do not know if the argument will follow the same path as the previous version.
