La Precious movie, directed by Lee Daniels and based on the novel Push tells the story of a 16-year-old girl named Jones, obese and illiterate who is expecting her second child from her own absent father. She lives in Harlem, the kingdom of the invisible, of the voiceless, with her mother, a cruel recluse who watches television incessantly and subjects her to the most degrading abuse. Forced to drop out of school because of her pregnancy, Precious ends up in a desperate case institute. And there, on the last step of those who have already descended all the stairs, is Miss Rain, a young, combative and radical teacher through whom Precious will have the possibility of recovering her voice and her dignity by discovering a new world in The one who can finally express himself in a way that he has never imagined before.
This film will be seen in Spain in the first quarter of next year.
