The Last Legion, a film that should have been released directly on video

The Last Legion, directed by Doug Lefler, is such a lazy film that it should have been released directly on video and, if you pull my tongue a lot, even on TV because neither the story nor its special effects are worth getting to be released on the big screen.

The Last LegionDespite having actors Colin Firth and Ben Kingsley in the cast, it is a very weak film. Its special effects are painful, the sets the same, the script mixes some historical times with others and the performances of its actors are not brilliant either.

The story is about the last Roman emperor, a child, who was killed by an invasion of the Goths in Rome with his entire family and his guard, except for some brave ones. They will save the boy from death by taking him to Britain in search of the 9th Legion. But before going to Britain, the loyal Roman soldiers commanded by Colin will save the emperor from his confinement on a Roman island where the sword forged for Julius Caesar was hidden, which is actually the mythical sword Excalibur.

Come on, rubbish. Do not waste your time, unless you are very bored.
