In the story, Andy Brewster (Rogen) is a Los Angeles-based inventor who has invented an amazing organic cleaner, but can't get anyone interested in producing it. Andy plans a business trip to promote the product and decides to take his mother (Streisand), who was recently widowed, on the trip.
She has been very depressed since her father died, so she came up with a great idea during the trip: to stop in San Francisco, where one of her ex lives ... The film was directed by Anne Fletcher (The Proposal) with a screenplay by Dan Fogelman (Crazy, Stupid, Love) and will hit theaters on December 25.
