Ehe great Mexican film director Guillermo del Toro has already announced to the media what will be the final cast of the second part of Hellboy, which will be called Hellboy 2: The Golden Army. The charismatic comic book character created by Mike Mignola will once again be played by Ron Perlman. The brilliant actor will once again have the company of Selma Blair as Liz Sherman, Doug Jones (this man is a genius playing extraordinary beings because for those who do not know it he has been the Faun in The Pan's Labyrinth, and is waiting for us to see you at The Rise of the Silver Surfer where she plays Estela Silverada in the second part of Fantastic 4) as Abe Sapien and Jeffrey Tambor as Tom Manning, the director of the BPRD (the paranormal search office).
The recurring actors have been joined by Anna Walton as Princess Nuala (it's my imagination or it's the same name Ophelia supposedly had in Pan's Labyrinth), Luke Goss (who repeats with Del Toro after playing Nomak in Blade 2) as Prince Nuada, John Alexander will be the body of Johann and Tomas Kretschmann the voice in original version, Roy Dotrice will be King Balor and John Hurt will make a cameo as Hellboy's late adoptive father, Professor Trevor 'Broom' Bruttenholm.
The sequel to the 2004 film is once again scripted by Del Toro and the creature's father, the great Mike Mignola, and will begin shooting this coming Friday, June 8, in Budapest. The new installment of the character will be released in the summer of 2008 by Universal and with the production of Del Toro Films.
