Here you have the trailer for the film adaptation of The Girl on the Train, a famous book that hit very hard last year. The adaptation of this best seller has a very good production.
The girl on the train tells us the life of Rachel, a divorced woman with alcohol problems who resides in a rented room of an old acquaintance. He travels every morning by rail to London and every day the train stops in front of a red signal and behind the window he observes a couple whom he has even given names. Imagine their lives from what she calls them Jess and Jason.
The film stars Emily Blunt and directed by Tate Taylor. The cast includes Hayley Bennett, Luke Evans, Rebecca Ferguson, Allison Janney, Lisa Kudrow, Edgar Ramirez and Justin Theroux. The release date is for October 7.
I find it an attractive proposition. I haven't read the book but it sounds lost to me. Of course, the latter was directed by the magnificent David Finer. Well, we will have to wait to see how the adaptation goes.
