The Falopa Ensemble and its Songbook for an anarcoperonist stove

With a peculiar presentation that emulates the old music magazines that were published in Argentina in the early 70s, the provocative Falopa set just released his new work, titled Songbook for an anarcho-Peronist stove.

The concept of art for this songbook takes up the unforgettable singrock, a publication that was a cultural (and sales) phenomenon in seventies Argentina. The group rescued that editorial idea and decided to do without the box, replacing it with the magazine, which includes the lyrics and chords of each topic, as well as a series of notes and self-referential articles, written for the occasion.

Throughout the repertoire, we can find that merciless parody and fine irony combo that can be read every week in the Barcelona (An Argentine weekly that reviews the news of those 7 days, similar to the incorrigible Thursday, from Spain. Perhaps the reference is completed when discovering Paul Marchetti, director of the Barcelona, putting the voice (and the lyrics) in each song.

As for the sound, the Falopa set he detaches himself (not much) from his tango tint, and chooses to add as many genres and styles as possible, without ever neglecting the ease and rapture that makes them unique.
