Today, a new sample of Argentine cinema opens in our country The empty nest Directed by Daniel Burman (The broken hug) and with a tall leading couple with Cecilia Roth and Óscar Martínez.
As the title of the film itself indicates, The Empty Nest, we are told the story of a marriage where, in the absence of children, monotony and boredom arise. This topic is already a topic but seen from the Argentine prism it acquires another very suggestive nuance.
The film won two awards in the past Film Festival San Sebastian, the best actor award for Óscar Martínez and the jury award for best photography for Hugo Colace.
In Argentina it became No. 1 at the box office, here I don't even think it is among the ten most viewed. Not because it is a bad movie but because it has not had a good publicity.
