This extraordinary British band of 'post-punk'will make your music heard in outer space. Well, at least that will happen with his hugely acclaimed album of 1984, Ocean rain ( "the killing moon","seven you are", etc.).
No gentlemen, we are not delirious: Timothy korpa, an astronaut from the NASA and a staunch fan of the Echo & The Bunnymen, has contacted the group and has asked permission to take something of his authorship in the next mission to space, citing the aforementioned album as one of his favorites.
Korpa plan take photos of the crew with the disc during the trip.
"Now it is official. We are the most popular band in the universe. When I was a kid I always dreamed of being an astronaut and now, one way or another, I feel like I have made it. I can't wait for Tim to tell me what it feels like to hear 'the killing moon' watching the moon"Said the vocalist Ian McCulloch.
