There are times when a project, despite having a good backing behind it, does not see the light of day, be it for one reason or another. This is what happened at the time to The Dark Tower of Stephen KingWhere Universal Pictures and then Warner Bros. were interested, but ultimately the result was nothing.

Now it is the turn of Sony Pictures and they want to turn this product into a film saga. Sony and Media Rights Capital have reached an agreement to be able to adapt King's books and make, in addition to several films, a series, which according to Deadline is already in full development.

The script has been redone and this time it is made up of Jeff Pinkner (The Amazing Spiderman 2) and Akiya Goldsman (I am a Legend, A Wonderful Mind). Faced with this good news, the writer did not want to hide his joy since it was a project that made him very excited that it could be taken to the cinema and everything indicates that he will soon see his dream come true.

The news has recently come out and they have not been long in looking for protagonists. In fact, it is rumored that for the main role there are already two clear names, either Russell Crowe or Javier Bardem. It is the third time that La Torre Oscura has been in the works. Will it be able to see the light?
