Kate nash, Ed O'Brien (guitarist of Radiohead) Y Dave rowntree (battery of Blur), are just some of the artists who are fighting for the establishment of a committee with a single purpose: That the bands have a voice and vote in the music industry.
This Featured Artists Coalition, whose existence was made public only a few weeks ago, has already met with the Secretary of Culture English to discuss the -valga la redundancia- 'legality of laws'of copyright, which allows DVD makers to use artists' music without paying for it.
rowntree has stated that this is a "campaign for a change in the music industry and that they are just a group of people who are interested in having the voices of artists heard".
Currently, this coalition already has more than 700 members including the Klaxons, Radiohead, Robbie Williams y Kaiser Chiefs.
