Expected 2016

It is coming to an end this 2015 and from Actualidad Cine we bring you a list with the most anticipated films of the next year.

These are the 50 most anticipated films of this coming 2016Surely we leave some of them and of course more will appear that we still do not know, we invite you to write us in comments. We will be delighted to see those films that you are so eagerly awaiting.

  1. Danny Boyle's 'Steve Jobs': We will start the year with the premiere of one of the favorite films for the Oscars, probably when it reaches the Spanish billboard it will do so with an award, since this biopic about the famous businessman and computer programmer Steve Jobs will already take three months around for billboards in the United States (Premiere in Spain 1/1/2016)
  2. 'Joy' by David O. Russell: Another film that may attend the Hollywood Academy Awards gala is 'Joy', once again David O. Russell directing Jennifer Lawrence, the first time it earned her the Oscar and the second one more nomination, Maybe this year the winner will finally be him, and a new statuette for her is not ruled out either. (Premiere in Spain 8/1/2016)
  3. Tom Hooper's 'The Danish Girl': More films for these next Oscars, in it we find the Oscar-winning director Tom Hooper, the last best actor Oscar winner Eddie Redmayne and probably the future winner of the best supporting actress Alicia Vikander. (Premiere in Spain 15/1/2016)
  4. 'El renacido' ('The Revenant') by Alejandro González Iñárritu: And one last film with award options that should be noted is this one in which Leonardo DiCaprio may have a memorable role that may eventually lead to an Oscar. Without forgetting either Tom Hardy who aspires to be the best supporting actor, nor the Mexican Alejandro González Iñárritu who will try to revalidate last year's awards for 'Birdman', those for best film, best direction and best original screenplay. (Premiere in Spain 5/2/2016)
  5. 'Believe. The Legend of Rocky 'by Ryan Coogler: We went on to talk about something more commercial like the 'Rocky' saga. This spin-off, which is actually just a seventh installment in the franchise, is one of the most anticipated films of the year and even more so after its release in the United States and the role of Sylvester Stallone stands out especially. (Premiere in Spain 5/2/2016)
  6. 'Zoolander 2' ('Zoolander No.2') by Ben Stiller: Of course, there is also a place on this list for the wildest comedies. Ben Staller returns with his steel blue gaze, more than a decade after the success of 'Zoolander'. Hopefully this second part is at least half as fun as the first. (Premiere in Spain 12/2/2016)
  7. Byron Howard's 'Zootopia': After a year without a premiere, Disney returns this next year with this fable that seems to be the best version of Mickey Mouse's house, far from the style it had in the 90s and how outdated it is today. (Premiere in Spain 12/2/2016)
  8. Hail, Caesar! (Hall, Caesar!) By Joel Coen and Ethan Coen: Always interesting, the Coen brothers return outside of awards season, something that makes experts think that it will not be the best version of the directors, but they always like the public. (Premiere in Spain 19/2/2016)
  9. Tim Miller's 'Deadpool': Until the month of February we will have to wait for the next superhero movie, a subject always highly anticipated, in this case it is a spin-off of the 'X-Men' saga, the story of one of the characters that most like, so the expectation is enormous. (Premiere in Spain 19/2/2016)
  10. Lenny Abrahamson's 'Room': We recover the Oscar theme with this film that will arrive in Spain, to the shame of whoever was at fault, even after the gala. This little gem has enchanted the United States and may come to our country with countless awards. (Premiere in Spain 4/3/2016)
  11. 'The Divergent Series: Leal' ('The Divergent Series: Allegiant'): At the end of 2015 we have just reached the end of the saga 'The Hunger Games' ('The Hunger Games'), but the teenage sagas have not finished, much less, we still have two more films of a success as it is 'Divergent'. (Premiere in Spain 11/3/2016)
  12. 'Julieta' by Pedro Almodóvar: Spanish cinema also has a place on this list of her most anticipated films of 2016, we cannot fail to mention the return of Pedro Almodóvar to what seems to be his best version with a film starring women. (Premiere in Spain 18/3/2016)
  13. 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' (Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice 'by Zack Snyder: If instead of talking about the 50 most anticipated films, we will talk about the three most anticipated films, this film would continue to enter the list, and it is that we are facing one of the films of the year without a doubt, an expectation only comparable to a new film of ' Star Wars' and little else. (Premiere in Spain 23/3/2016)
  14. 'My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2' ('My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2') by Kirk Jones: And if we want to mention a romantic comedy, what better way than to highlight the second installment of that hit called 'My Great Greek Wedding' that triumphed in 2002. (Premiere in Spain 23/3/2016)
  15. Jodie Foster's 'Money Monster': Oscar winner Jodie Foster's new job may be a real bomb, George Clooney and Julia Roberts once again together in a film, this time joined by rising star Jack O'Connell. (Premiere in Spain 1/4/2016)
  16. 'Frente al mar' ('By the Sea') by Angelina Jolie: A new Angelina film of course that creates enormous expectations, especially if she stars in it herself with her husband Brad Pitt and it cannot be better when the critics have also put her back and a half. We don't know where we will meet, but we eagerly await. (Premiere in Spain 8/4/2016)
  17. Jon Favreau's 'The Jungle Book': A lot of retouching by computer, also not very well executed, for a new version of the Jungle Book, it will surely disappoint us a lot, but we will not stop seeing it. (Premiere in Spain 15/4/2016)
  18. 'The hunter and the ice queen' ('The Huntsman: Winter's War') by Cedric Nicolas-Troyan: Second part of 'Snow White and the Huntsman' ('Snow White and the Huntsman') that could achieve the same success as the first, at least it already has us waiting. (Premiere in Spain 15/4/2016)
  19. 'Captain America: Civil War' ('Captain America: Civil War') by Anthony Russo and Joe Russo: Another highly anticipated superhero movie that will come to us next year is this new installment of the Avengers saga that will put one against another and that will mean a turning point in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. 21. 'Alice Through the Looking Glass' ('Alice Through the Looking Glass') by James Bobin: Second part of 'Alice in Wonderland' ('Alice in Wonderland') that Tim Burton brought us a few years ago, unfortunately the director will not be in charge of this new film, but at least we will have the main cast again, Mia Wasikowska, Johnny Depp, and Helena Bonham-Carter. (Premiere in Spain 27/5/2016)
  22. Bryan Singer's 'X-Men: Apocalypse' ('X-Men: Apocalypse'): More superhero movies, in this case a new installment of 'X-Men', the franchise that Marvel once sold to 20th Century Fox, and now regrets. We are already eager to know how the story continues, the possibilities seem endless with parallel universes that have been opened to us previously. (Premiere in Spain 27/5/2016)
  23. Duncan Jones's 'Warcraft: The Origin' ('Warcraft'): Long-awaited adaptation of the popular online video game. A long time waiting how this film will be and also at a time when we find ourselves orphans of epic-fantastic cinema after finishing the saga of 'The Hobbit' ('The Hobbit'). (Premiere in Spain 3/6/2016)
  24. 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II' by David Green: It was not a huge success, truth be told, but disappointed fans who saw the first one, will not miss the second installment of 'Ninja Turtles'. (Premiere in Spain 3/6/2016)

We loved 'Independence Day' and are looking forward to this second installment of the alien invasion. (Premiere in Spain 1/7/2016)
  28. 'Tarzan '(' Tarzan ') by David Yates: This is another of the Disney classics that will have a new version, in its case in computer animation, surely it will not triumph like the animated original or like real action films in their day, but it may be fine, especially because after the cameras is David Yates, who became famous for directing the latest installments of 'Harry Potter'. (Premiere in Spain 1/7/2016)
  29. Steven Spielberg's 'The Great Good-natured Giant' ('The BFG'): The great Steven Spielberg returns to animated cinema with this film that we have been hearing news about for a long time. 35. 'Ice Age: The Great Cataclysm' ('Ice Age: Collision Course') by Mike Thurmeier and Galen T. Chu: Fifth installment of 'The Ice Age' and presumably the last. If the previous four have worked extraordinarily well, why wouldn't this one do it too? (Premiere in Spain 12/8/2016)
  36. 'Suicide Squad' by David Ayer: It may not have created as much expectation as 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice', but this next DC film will surely make its good box office, many of us are already waiting for it. (Premiere in Spain 19/8/2016)

  48. 'Vaiana' ('Moana') by John Musker and Ron Clements: Disney will also release a new film this year that seems close to its versions of the 90s. It is not the Disney we like the most right now, but it sure fills theaters with this new film, as always. (Premiere in Spain 2/12/2016)

'Rogue One: A Star Wars Story' by Gareth Edwards: And the new movie of the Universe 'Star Wars' could not be missing from this list, whenever a film of the franchise is released, it will be among the most anticipated.
