The journalists and critics of the Catalan newspaper La Vanguardia have drawn up a list with the 50 best films of the first decade of this new century.
The classification of these pages has been elaborated from the crossing of individual lists made by eight journalists and critics of 'La Vanguardia' without the will to establish any canon and with a plural look: Miquel Molina, Jordi Batlle, Lluís Bonet, Juan Bufill, Jordi Batlló, Pedro Vallín, Salvador Llopart and Josep Massot.
From this curious list it stands out that the mThe best film for the critics of La Vanguardia is for the unknown last film by Ingmar Bergman, titled Saraband.
In addition, the mythical Clint Eastwood manages to place two of his films among the 10 best of the decade with Gran Torino at number 2 and Million Dollar Baby at number 6. In addition, it also puts Mystic River at number 35.
Although I think these critics have swept home too much considering that they have placed four Spanish films among the best of the decade: En Construcción (14th), La Soledad (27th), Hable con ella (34th) and Volver (46th) .
